Great Success for the Senior Citizen Christmas Drop In
Prescot Town Council staff and elected members were pleased to welcome our Senior residents from the community for a festive celebration on 21st December 2021 . We served free festive refreshments, listened to festive music and handed out selection packs and mince pies for all. We were joined by the Mayor of Prescot, Cllr Christopher Krelle who was selling raffle tickets for his Charity Christmas Raffle along with gifts and crafts. The Friends of Eaton Street Park held a very successful tombola and we had Pauline from the HME Residents Association selling knitted Christmas gifts. A great time was enjoyed by all. Thank you to all those who attended and we hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Recycled Winter Coat Pop Up Shops
We had a great take up this morning (Fri 12th Nov) for Prescot Town Council’s Winter Coat Recycling scheme.
Councillors Pat Cook and Tom Large were outside the Town Hall and over 60 coats were given out saving them from going to landfill.
Two more pop-up shops will be held next week on Tuesday 16th November 2021 and Thursday 18th November 2021 between 9-11am. Come along then to Prescot Town Hall and choose a free recycled winter coat.
Prescot Community Recognition Awards 2022 – APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
Prescot has a rich tradition as a Town with a strong community, sometimes the efforts of particular individuals and groups stand out as being above and beyond that of a usual citizen. These groups and individuals are not always aware of the positive impact they can have, on both individuals and the wider community, and can go largely unsung for their actions. In order to recognise these individuals and the positive contribution they make to the lives of others, the Town Council introduced the Prescot Community Recognition Awards and we are now in our sixth year of holding the awards. If there is somebody that you know, whom you believe has made a valuable difference, to you or the wider community in your area, please complete a nomination form and return it to the Town Council by the 31st May 2022.
Nomination forms are available below or from the Town Hall.
