Prescot Community Recognition Awards 2017
Prescot has a rich tradition as a Town with a strong community, sometimes the efforts of particular individuals and groups stand out as being above and beyond that of a usual citizen. These groups and individuals are not always aware of the positive impact they can have, on both individuals and the wider community, and can go largely unsung for their actions.
In order to recognise these individuals and the positive contribution they make to the lives of others, the Town Council would like to introduce the Prescot Community Recognition Awards.
If there is somebody that you know, whom you believe has made a valuable difference, to you or the wider community in your area, please complete a nomination form (see below) and return it to the Town Council by the 30th April 2017.

Prescot Hockey Club News
Prescot Men 12 (twelve) Carlisle 1
After missing two weeks with frost the Prescot first team unleashed their frustration on a shell shocked Carlisle. Jones opened the scoring in the first minute with a reverse smash before Boulton, Mortimer and Jay Lomax added three more before half time. The second half saw Prescot play some sublime hockey with goals being added at regular intervals. The Carlisle keeper made some brave saves too, however Jobes added three more, Mortimer completed his hat trick and veteran midfield Johnson weighed in with one. Boulton completed the route late on. Next week Prescot travel to Neston in a top-of-the-table clash which may decide the league title.
Fylde 0 Prescot Men Twos 3
The mens seconds put in another great effort to record their first win on the road. Prescot weathered some early Fylde pressure before Clarkin converted a penalty corner. Clichés then made it two with a sublime lob from the top of the circle. In the second half Fylde pushed on but were restricted by a well marshalled defence to one shot on goal. In the final minutes Clucas wrapped up the points for Prescot with another penalty.
