Prescot Town Council – Equipment Bank
Prescot has an active community and voluntary sector and the Town Council recognises the value that these organisations have in helping to achieve a sense of place and develop a strong community spirit. The Town Council recognise that the availability of equipment to community groups will support them in achieving their goals. Some of the groups carry out similar activities in different parts of the town, and the cost of equipping each group with the same items would be prohibitive. To address the needs of as many groups as possible the Town Council has developed the idea of creating an equipment bank that community groups across the Town can access to support their activities and events free of charge.
The Town Council would also like to offer the opportunity of hiring equipment to local individuals, businesses or other out of town organisations, that may have need of such items for a reasonable fee.
To find out more information and to see what equipment we have available please read our Equipment Bank Policy which can be found here http://www.prescot-tc.gov.uk/policies/

Red Box Project – Prescot
Prescot Town Council are pleased to be able to support The Red Box Project – Prescot.
The project has been set up to help eradicate period poverty in schools within Prescot. They are working as part of The Red Box Project to put donated sanitary protection into schools to ensure no girl misses school or faces embarrassment because of her period. The project will have donation points set up locally for sanitary towels and tampons.
Prescot Town Hall will be a donation point for sanitary products which will go directly towards those young women who need them in Prescot schools.
We are hoping to receive our red donation box next week and will be able to accept donations during our opening hours Monday to Friday between 9.00am – 5.00pm.
