Winter Coat Recycling Scheme
We will be holding our first FREE Winter Recycled Coat pop up shop on Wednesday 13th September 2023 from 12.30pm – 3.30pm at Prescot Town Hall. This first session will be for Prescot & Whiston residents followed by further sessions designated to Knowsley residents. Please bring proof of your address.
We will be holding our second FREE Winter Recycled Coat pop up shop on Friday 15th September 2023 from 5.00pm – 7.00pm at Prescot Town Hall. This second session will be for Prescot & Whiston residents followed by further sessions designated to Knowsley residents. Please bring proof of your address.
We will be holding FREE Winter Recycled Coat pop up shops on Wednesday 20th September 2023 from 12pm – 2pm, Friday 22nd September 2023 from 5pm – 7pm, Wednesday 27th September 2023 from 10am – 12pm, Friday 29th September 2023 from 6pm – 8pm, Wednesday 4th October 2023 from 8.30am – 10.30am and Friday 13th October 2023 from 5.30pm – 7.30pm at Prescot Town Hall.
We will be working in partnership with the Friends of Eaton Street Park.
Come along and choose a coat and be part of the recycle movement.

FREE shuttle bus to Knowsley Flower Show – Sunday 6th August 2023
Prescot Town Council are pleased to once again sponsor the FREE shuttle bus service from Whiston/Prescot to the Knowsley Flower Show taking place this Sunday 6th August 2023 from 11am – 5pm. See below for more details and timetable.
Knowsley Flower Show Sunday 6th August 2023 – Shuttle Bus Sponsorship
Prescot Town Council are delighted to be sponsoring the Shuttle bus service from Whiston/Prescot to Knowsley Flower Show which will take place on Sunday 6th August 2023.
Due to sponsorship the shuttle bus will be FREE and will pick up at 11.05am at Prescot Bus Station (Stop D) and then every hour until 3.05pm. Return journeys will be from 11.30am and on the hour until 5.30pm (break for lunch at 3.30pm).

Prescot Community Recognition Awards 2023
Prescot has a rich tradition as a Town with a strong community, sometimes the efforts of particular individuals and groups stand out as being above and beyond that of a usual citizen. These groups and individuals are not always aware of the positive impact they can have, on both individuals and the wider community, and can go largely unsung for their actions.
In order to recognise these individuals and the positive contribution they make to the lives of others, the Town Council operate the Prescot Community Recognition Awards every year.
Nominations for 2023 are now open. Please complete a nomination form and return to Prescot Town Council.
The closing date for nominations is Friday 7th July 2023.
Vacancy – Caretaker/Cleaner Recruitment
SCP 1- Salary £20,258 pro rata equivalent to £11.17 / per hour -pay award pending

Prescot Town Council is seeking to recruit a casual Caretaker/Cleaner who will provide invaluable support to our day-to-day operations.
Reporting directly to the Deputy Town Clerk, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that council facilities are safe and clean for staff and visitors alike.
Prescot Town Council has ambitious plans to increase footfall through its Town Hall – making it a true community facility within the heart of the town.
We have already attracted community groups and individuals to use our facilities on weekdays, evenings and weekends, but as our ambitions grow, so too does the need to ensure that the building is fit for purpose.
The successful candidate will work alongside our full-time caretaker; and training necessary for fire alarms, intruder alarms, cleaning equipment etc will be provided.
This position is a casual post with no weekly contracted hours. Required hours for this post will be offered dependent upon the operations of council.
Candidates are reminded that as part of this post, work outside of recognised office hours (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) will be required. This will include working at weekends.
